Terms of Service

PK CourseBuild ("CourseBuild," "the Service") is operated by CPKM LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using CourseBuild, you agree to these terms.

What you own

You retain full ownership of all course data you create on CourseBuild, including route geometry, waypoints, elevation data, labels, and descriptions. Your data is yours.

What you grant us

By creating a course on CourseBuild, you grant CPKM LLC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display the course data you create. This includes route geometry, waypoint locations, elevation profiles, and associated metadata.

We use this data to power PaceKit's live audio coaching for runners on race day. This license survives deletion of your account or course so that coaching built from your data remains accurate and available to runners.

What we will never do

We will never sell your course data to competing race management or race registration platforms. We will never share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Free and paid tiers

CourseBuild offers a free tier that includes course drawing, elevation profiles, waypoint placement, and GPX export. The Pro tier ($49 per course) includes embeddable course pages, branded public links, and persistent course storage. Pricing may change, but changes will not affect courses you have already purchased.

Account and access

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used to upload misleading or harmful content.

Accuracy

Course data on CourseBuild is provided for planning and informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of elevation data, route geometry, or any derived metrics. Race directors are responsible for verifying course data against official measurements before use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
